Where dwells the thing that should not be.

Ok, always dear H.P.L on my mind...
Beyond trying some additional light, here I used a texture too (a MB3D texture..  ); the only thing that puzzles me is that this image took an insane amount of time to render, about 12 hours, despite the fact I used a single baseshape. I clearly have done something wrong (like thinking 'the less the baseshapes, the less the rendering time') but...I don't know what.
If someone has a hint...well, thank you!!
